The MacPro 4.1 and 5.1 WiFi and BT Upgrade Kit will allow a newer Apple 12+6 WiFi Cards to be used in a selection of older Mac Pros. It enables a number of unsupported features Including Handoff Features, Continuity Features, Apple Watch Unlocking, faster 802.11ac WiFi Speeds (up to 1300Mbps) and unto Bluetooth 4.2 depending on MacOS version used.
The BCM943602CDP offers a newer BT version than the BCM94360CD, but may not be the best choice for those relying on earlier versions of Mac OS
It is a flexible and cost-effective way to keep you Mac upto date. With the ability to use a variety of 12+6 WiFi cards dependent on the features you require.
It also includes a large external BT antenna this will improve the notoriously bad Mac Pro BT performance, it will fit in a spare PCIe Slot or can be mounted to another cards bracket, or somewhere else on your case.
The Kit consists of :
- 1x 12+6- Mini PCIe adapter (The card may differ slightly and have a captive cable depending on the card supplied)
- Large 2.4 Ghz External BT antenna (Connect to A3)
- A custom USB BT Header cable which is Plug and Play
- A BCM943602CDP modified for easier installation.
The adapter is compatible with the following computers:
- Mac Pro 4.1
- Mac Pro 5.1

This is a great bit of kit! Easy to install as everything is provided and it works well.
I had a few issues at first, but these were quickly responded to and dealt with.
